I bought my son a 2000 P71 last Summer. It ran great, but he had to wait to get his license, so it sat until now. He started and ran the car (several times) until it was \\"almost\\" out of gas. Then he let it sit for about 1 month with a practically empty tank. So, we went and put just over a gallon of gas in it, and now it will turn over just fine, but sounds like it isn\\\\\\'t getting a spark (although it probably is). Absolutely nothing was touched under the hood between the last time he started it, and our attempts tonight. The only difference, is that the last time he ran it, it was about 70 degrees out, and tonight it was about 54 or so. I even tried jumping it with my 08\\\\\\' P71 when his battery ran down from turning it over so much. The gas needle is no where near the empty mark, so I am thinking about using a small shot of starting fluid... Any Ideas?
Thank you in advance for your help.

..."WAG"....Try a few of these suggestions....

Gasoline fuel additive...a dryer to the fuel tank...
New fuel filter
Top off the fuel tank w/fresh fuel
Clean the throttle body of carbon deposits....including the 1/2" deep "C" channel @ the base of the throttle body...(a couple hour job for the DIY...!!!)
Check the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS)...voltage & position settings per Lincoln repair manual
Do a OBD2 engine code check...track'em down.... (Auto Zone-ORielly's...etc if necessary)

Hope this is helpful
